An Owen Wosleger RBI single in the bottom of the eighth lifted the Mohawk Valley DiamondDawgs to a 4-3 win over the Oneonta Outlaws on Thursday.
With the game tied at three and Jacob Josey on third after reaching first on an error, Wosleger worked the count full before singling in Josey for the game-winning run.
Mohawk Valley took a 2-0 lead in the first inning, scoring twice on a Nick Cimillo triple given up by starting pitcher Tim Buchek.
Oneonta got a run back in the third thanks to a John Rhodes RBI single that scored Noah Cabrera, but a DiamondDawgs' run in the fourth kept the deficit at two.
RBI from Jared Payne and Kevin Gsell tied the game up at three in the eighth before Wosleger's single sealed the win for Mohawk Valley.
Cabrera and Payne each finished with two hits. Cabrera scored all three of Oneonta's runs from the leadoff spot.
Buchek lasted five innings, allowing six hits and three runs while striking out two and walking four.
The Outlaws (10-21) travel to Shuttleworth Park to take on Amsterdam on Friday at 5 p.m.
