Winning pitcher Quinn Barnhart allowed one run on two hits over 6 1/3 innings and John Williams hit a grand slam to lead Unatego's 11-1 non-league victory over visiting Susquehanna Valley on Saturday.

Barnhart struck out eight and walked four.

"He was spotting his fastball and his breaking pitches were working well," Unatego coach Frank Microni said of Barnhart, who also went 3-for-5 with three RBIs and two runs. "He was working ahead of hitters, which is huge for him."

Williams grand slam came during a six-run fourth inning that ended with Unatego leading, 10-0. Phil Youngs led off the inning with a single. He stole second and scored on Barnhart's double. Dan Shelton and Travis Woods followed with walks before Williams homered to left.
