Maria Williams scored both of Edmeston's goals Tuesday, and the No. 4 Panthers upset the Tri-Valley League's No. 1 seed, Schenevus, in the TVL semifinals, 2-1.

Schenevus (12-2, 10-1) came into this week as the No. 6 ranked team in Class D according to the New York State Sportswriters Association, but the Dragons were no match for the Panthers.

"Edmeston came out strong and outplayed us for most of the game," Schenevus head coach Scott Wolstenhome said via email. "They had a good game plan and executed it."

Edmeston got on the board first when Williams beat goaltender Alexia Piercy to take a 1-0 lead in the first half.

Schenevus' Mekenzi Morris answered with a goal of her own to tie it up before break, and the game went to overtime when neither team could score in the second.

Williams' game winner came late in the first overtime period, giving her team the win and advancing them to Saturday's TVL championship game at Wright National Soccer Campus.

The Panthers face off against No. 2 Cherry Valley-Springfield at 3 p.m. The Patriots defeated No. 3 Morris, 2-1, in the other semifinal game.

Schenevus awaits its seeding for next week's Section IV Class D tournament. Official seeding is expected to be announced on Thursday.

Cherry Valley-Springfield 2, Morris 1

Cherry-Valley Springfield's Kendra McGovern and Rebecca Phillips each had a goal for the No. 2 Patriots in Tuesday's Tri-Valley League (TVL) semifinal victory against No. 3 Morris.

Zoe Smith crossed the ball into McGovern for a goal 2:34 into the game to give CV-S an early lead.

Phillips' tally made it 2-0 with 16:50 left in the second. McGovern earned the assist, laying out a ball to Phillips, which she collected and finished.

Morris’ Reanen Goodspeed got her team on the board three minutes later off an assist from Mollie Dugan, but it wasn’t enough to bring the Mustangs from behind.

Morris' Liz Thompson made eight saves, and CV-S keeper Kelsey Girard stopped six shots.

Cherry Valley-Springfield advances to Saturday's TVL championship game against No. 4 Edemston at 3 p.m. at the Wright National Soccer Campus.

Unatego 4, Walton 1

Unatego battled to a 4-1 win over Walton on Tuesday in its final regular season game.

Walton struck first, as McKenzie Clough scored on a breakaway.

Dana Stepp found the back of the net with 5:42 left in the first half to tie the score at the break.

“Dana stepped up today and was definitely hitting frame,” Unatego coach Sue Herodes said.

Stepp finished with three goals to lead Unatego’s offense. Leah Hamm also netted a goal for the Spartans, and Hali Lucia had two assists.

“They played us hard in the first half and made us earn our keep," Herodes said. "Second half, we settled down and played our game."

Walton's Ellissa Beach made eight saves, and Meghan Perry made seven for Unatego.

Unatego plays Unadilla Valley on Saturday in the Midstate Athletic Conference (MAC) championship game at 10 a.m. at Wright National Soccer Campus.

Unadilla Valley 2, Oxford 1

Unadilla Valley defeated Oxford on Tuesday in its final regular season game.

UV's Paige Catena opened the scoring with 11:03 left in the first half, off an assist from Kyleigh George. Shelby Meade scored the second Storm goal, with 27:33 left to play.

Oxford’s lone goal came with 34:19 left in the first half, scored by Karley Marshman.

Oxford keeper Alexis Kohlhepp made eight saves against the 10 shots she faced.

Meegan White made two stops in goal for Unadilla Valley.

Unadilla Valley faces Unatego in the Midstate Athletic Conference (MAC) championship game at 10 a.m. on Saturday at the Wright National Soccer Campus.

Roxbury 2, Gilboa 0

Roxbury scored a goal in each half on its way to a win over Gilboa during Tuesday's final game of the Rockets' regular season.

Bella Piniros and Ayla Vorisek each scored an unassisted goal for Roxbury, and Gilboa managed just one shot in the loss.

Gilboa keeper Hailie Shultis made three saves, and Roxbury goaltender Bryanna Meehan didn't face a shot on goal in the shutout.

The Rockets (9-4-1, 5-3-1) await seeding for next week's sectionals.

Franklin 1, Laurens 1

Franklin and Laurens played to a tie during Tuesday's Tri-Valley League postseason matchup.

Kayla Campbell put Franklin (8-4-3, 6-3-2) ahead early in the first half, scoring an unassisted goal for the Purple Devils.

Ashley Wickoff leveled the game for Laurens with eight minutes remaining.

Franklin awaits its seeding for next week's Section IV Class D tournament.

Waterville 2, Cooperstown 1

Cooperstown fell to Waterville by one in a tightly matched game Tuesday.

The Hawkeyes’ Delaney Holohan scored her team's lone goal. It was assisted by Baileigh Beham.

Waterville’s Anna Beach and Megan Whittenbeck each netted a goal. Whittenbeck also tallied an assist.

Hailey Seamon made six saves in the net for Cooperstown. Sydney Hajdasz made three for Waterville.

Hunter-Tannersville 7, Jefferson 0

Five Hunter-Tannersville players scored Tuesday, lifting the Wildcats to a win against Jefferson.

Riley Knoetgen, Sundee Kroyer, Logan Iannelli, Justin Iannelli and Anna Haines all scored at least once for H-T (5-4-2, 4-3-2).

Knoetgen and Logan Iannelli both found the back of the net twice, and teammate Sasha Gazoorian finished with two assists.

H-T outshot Jefferson, 32-5, and Jefferson keeper Alyssa Gadoury made 15 stops in the loss.

Paige Haines and Logan Iannelli both spent time in goal, combining to make three saves for the shutout.
