Oneonta outscored Vestal, 27-15, in a big third quarter to win the second game of the Anthony C. Drago Tournament, 59-42, and improve to 2-0 on the season Tuesday, Nov. 26.

Vestal led, 10-9, after one quarter, but the Yellowjackets took a slim 19-17 lead into halftime before creating separation in the third.

Graham Wooden followed up his 33 points on opening night with a team-high 22 points on nine field goals and a 2-for-2 performance at the foul line. Two of his baskets were 3-pointers.

Zyeir Lawrence was also in double figures, totaling 12 points, and Kevin Kurkowski made a pair of 3-pointers to total 10 points. Khysani Atkinson and Alex Osterhoudt each had six points.

Nine Vestal players scored, with Ettore DiRado and Tafari Carty each scoring eight to lead the way.

Vestal was 13-for-20 from the line while Oneonta finished 7-for-18.

Oneonta (2-0) will visit Chenango Forks at 7:15 p.m. Monday, Dec 9.

Milford 52, Gilboa 46

Milford got 17 points from Lawson Williams to earn a season-opening win over host Gilboa.

Milford took a 27-19 lead into halftime, but Gilboa pulled back within two at 35-33 entering the fourth, outscoring the visitors, 14-8, in the third.

Williams had four field goals and went 8-for-14 from the foul line to lead all scorers. Riley Stevens and Ethan Jubar were also in double figures with 10 points each for Milford.

Robert Rion and Reese Chase each scored 14 points to pace Gilboa. Michael O’Hara had 10, hitting two 3-pointers.

Milford went 23-for-38 from the foul line, while Gilboa finished 5-for-9 from the stripe.

Gilboa (0-1) will host Worcester at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4.

Morris 61, Stamford 17

Morris’ Jake Goodspeed led all scorers with 15 points as the Mustangs took down host Stamford for a season-opening win Monday, Nov. 25.

The Mustangs took a 22-8 lead into halftime before pulling away in the third quarter by outscoring the Indians, 26-3, in the frame.

Goodspeed had seven field goals, one of them a 3-pointer, to total 15 points. Jan Meyer was also in double digits for the Mustangs, finishing with 10 points on five field goals.

Scott Murphy and Jon Child each had nine points for Morris, while Scott Strain had eight. Hamid Williams and Garrett Aikens had five each.

James Olson was 5-for-7 from the foul line to lead Stamford with nine points. Jude Roderka and Tyler Tierney each had four for the Indians (0-1).
